spoga+gafa has listed 15–17 June 2027 as the dates for its next edition in Cologne. For garden-product importers and retailers, the confirmed calendar provides a useful reference for organising supplier discussions. It should not, however, become a substitute for a product-specific purchasing schedule.
An industry meeting point, not an order deadline
The organiser positions spoga+gafa around garden lifestyle and BBQ. Its official dates page confirms a Tuesday-to-Thursday event in June 2027. Buyers should consult the organiser for current visitor arrangements; this article does not announce SUM OUTDOOR’s participation or a stand location.
SUM OUTDOOR’s view is that a trade-fair calendar works best when each supplier meeting has a defined purpose. Separate discovery of new products from discussions about an existing model, and distinguish both from approval of a production order.
Give each meeting one decision to advance
For a new garden shed range, the first decision might be which storage use and size band to investigate. For an established greenhouse model, it could be whether a proposed packaging change requires a new sample. Preparing a short question list keeps the conversation focused without assuming every discussion must end in an order.
Record the model reference and drawing revision beside every quotation. Mark whether a displayed item is a concept, a sample or the configuration being offered. This helps purchasing and product-development teams discuss the same version when they review meeting notes later.
Work backwards from the required stock date
Before setting an order date, ask the supplier to identify the steps still outstanding: specification agreement, sample review, artwork approval, production planning and shipment arrangements. Assign an owner and a target date to each unresolved item. Keep estimated timing separate from a confirmed commitment, particularly when the design or packaging is still changing.
